The Big Sandy Wildcats look to take another step in their quest to defend their Class 2A State Championship as they face the Thorndale Bulldogs in Game 1 of this Class 2A Region IV best of 3 quarterfinal series today!

Jacob Hooker's Wildcats, District 25-2A champions, reached this round with 2-0 bi-district series win over Mumford (17-0, 8-3) and an 8-3 area round win over Shiner.

Thorndale, District 27-2A Champions, reached this round with a 2-0 (2-1, 9-0) bi-district series win over Wallis Brazos and a 2-1 (5-4, 10-0, 8-3) area round series win over Burton.

The winner of this series will face the winner of the Bracketville/Mason series.
