How is the weight room set up? Is everyone assigned certain lifts, or is it more of an "open gym"???

So do you do whatever upper and lower body excercises you want? Or does he have a workout planned? How many kids are showing up, how much does it cost?

Why do you stretch at the beginning of your workout?  Your muscles are not warm so you are basiclly wasting time.

- incline

- bent over rows

lower body days we have...

- shoulder combos

wednesday is biceps and triceps...

we do...

- Dumbell curls

- barbell curls

- dips

- incline curls

- pull downs

- kick backs

there are certain percentages and certain reps for each workout...

Too late to join up now...but It cost 200 dollars and about 50 kids at just our school are showing up.

How many day's does it last, how many from other schools? That sounds like a ton of money, ya'll don't have workouts at your schools? Did ya'lls coaches tell ya'll about it?

How many kids would you estimate to show up everyday, where is it being held?

It is amazing that parents would pay someone $200 for a strength and conditioning camp when the school can provide this service for free.  I know that Dayton athletes are put through hell and it costs them nothing to get better.  How dedicated are you coaches to your kids?  Just a question.

...The schools can provide the service for free...but they don't. they dont bother much. they do leave the weight room open and stuff, but their isnt any ur not learning any proper techniques...plus im pretty sure if i wasnt doing this camp i wouldn't even go to the weight room for free...i wouldnt feel the urge to. paying 200 dollars gives u the urge to go.

That quote sums up why HJ won't be good anytime soon!

...Why would u say anything like that?  Do you have any clue what schools in HJ's District that are providing a free program?

at HJ we have anywhere from 35 - 45 people a day... some people slack off and dont show up everyday... we workout in the field house and then do agilities on the practice field and on the track... i've gone everday and its paying off... i would have worked out a lot even if i hadn't done the camp, but its more beneficial if your in the camp... because most kids dont know many workouts, and theres not always coaches up there to help... i'd have to say that its helping me out a lot...

That's the part that I was talking about. That's good you guys are working out, even if it does cost an arm and a leg, lol.

During the school year is when proper lifting techniques should be shown. The kids have to have a desire to workout and improve during the summer.
