The Kirbyville Wildcats look to take another step in their Class 3A playoff journey as they take on the Clifton Cubs in Game 1 of this Class 3A Region III best of 3 semifinal tonight.

Craig Jones' Wildcats reached this round with a 2-0 bi-district series sweep over Woodville, a 2-0 area round series sweep over Anderson-Shiro and a 2-0 regional quarterfinal series win over Palacios.

Clifton reached this round with a 2-0 bi-district series sweep over Mildred, a 2-0 area round sweep over Cameron Yoe and a 2-0 regional quarterfinal series sweep over Franklin.

The winner of this series will face the winner of the Troy/Pollok Central series.
