While the Mustangs look to change that , Coach Cornel Thompson is looking to have a small senior class which means there is still a lot of growing up to do football wise. They do have experience as five starters return on offense and six starters come back on defense in order to push the Mustangs back into the Class 4A, Division II State Title race. Head Coach: Cornel Thompson Assistant Coaches: Ed Dyer (Offensive Coordinator), Mike Pierce (Defensive Coordinator), Justin Trahan, Hiawatha Hickman, Russell Bottley, Rick Butler, Terry Joe Ramsey, Depauldrick Garrett, Randy Ragsdale, Matthew Robertson, Taran Hebert, Sergio Espinal Offense: Five starters return to the Mustang spread offense in 2019. The quarterback position battle remains unsettled but looks to be led by junior Jerren "Pop" Terrell. The rushing game will be a bit more settled as sophomore running back Elijah Gales will shoulder the running load for West Orange-Stark. While the Mustang receiver corp will be sorted out in the summer the Mustangs come back with an experienced offensive line as senior guard Darby Jones (1st team all-district) returns in 2019 along with senior tackle Quincy Ledet (2nd team all-district), senior guard Jordan Garrett and junior center Courtney Davis. Joining them on the line will be sophomore tackle Demetrius Hunter. Defense: Six starters return to the Chain Gang Defense in 2019. The Mustangs should be strong up front as senior nose guard Steven Wilkerson (1st team all-district) returns along with senior tackles Shemar Manaway (2nd team all-district) and Ledet. They will be joined by junior defensive end Jalen Thompson. 10-4A-II Newcomer of the Year, junior Tyrone Brown, and senior Ja'Marcus Ross (1st team all-district) return to solidify the Mustang linebacker corp. The starting secondary will be sorted out at summer practice. Special Teams: Junior Angel Ibarra (1st team all-district) will handle the place kicking duties for West Orange-Stark. Senior Paulino Santos will handle the punting. The kicker returners will be finalized at summer practice. Thats ok. Better to be early than late. But we do appreciate all the hard work you put in. Looks like we may have some of the same questions from last year still needing to be answered? Young team with 11 returning starters ain't to bad

WOSdrummer99
I read back through the old WOS topic. And someone mentioned last year's freshman qb. But said he would likely play db this year. Maybe not?
