The Orange Leader

BRIDGE CITY — Honors keep rolling in for standouts of the Bridge City Cardinal baseball team.

Four Cardinals, who helped lead Bridge City and head coach Billy Bryant to a trip to the Class 3A Region III Finals, recently picked up Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Academic All-State honors in Class 3A.

The four seniors that landed on the elite unit were Troy Bolton, Johnny Dishon, Garrett Delano and Jordan Lemoine.

The Silsbee Tigers placed two on the All-State unit in Chris Stout and Colby Hargrove.

In Class 4A, Barbers Hill’s Chase Barrera and Cameron Campbell both were selected on the All-State squad.

To land on the Academic All-State unit all athletes must be graduating seniors. They must have a grade-point average of 94 and must be a varsity participant in good standing and be of good moral character.

Congrats to Troy, Johnny, Garrett, and Jordan.  That is a great group of young men.
