KFDM COOP Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Four Cardinals make Academic All-StateLeader SportsThe Orange LeaderBRIDGE CITY — Honors keep rolling in for standouts of the Bridge City Cardinal baseball team.Four Cardinals, who helped lead Bridge City and head coach Billy Bryant to a trip to the Class 3A Region III Finals, recently picked up Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Academic All-State honors in Class 3A.The four seniors that landed on the elite unit were Troy Bolton, Johnny Dishon, Garrett Delano and Jordan Lemoine.The Silsbee Tigers placed two on the All-State unit in Chris Stout and Colby Hargrove.In Class 4A, Barbers Hill’s Chase Barrera and Cameron Campbell both were selected on the All-State squad.To land on the Academic All-State unit all athletes must be graduating seniors. They must have a grade-point average of 94 and must be a varsity participant in good standing and be of good moral character.
