Imagine for a moment that I work for The Weather Channel. This storm, that is not even named Barry yet, is going to be a Cat 5 hurricane in the next 2 hours.

Since it will probably be weaker than a southeast Texas thunderstorm, we can replay some of the more aggressive storms in our history.

Rain is getting worse and some areas have started flooding again.  Everyone be safe and don’t get out on the roads!

Flooding is not looking good.  Many people just getting back in their houses are flooding again.  Some areas are worse than Harvey.

My grandparents have lived in the same place for 60+ years and their home has only flooded twice.  Harvey and today.  Insane!

Flooded in on both ends of Hillebrandt Road. Didn’t get as high as Harvey but bad still the same. Water had receded a bit but now it’s raining again.

Water has receded about a foot since this morning. If they could open the gates, I might could get out by Sunday. An armadillo is camped out on my front steps. Nudged him with my foot to make sure he wasn’t dead. Think he may have swam awhile to avoid high water and is completely exhausted.

I was able to get out yesterday. Anyone coming down Hillebrandt from 365, there are two dead cows in the road about a half mile from the 90. I hope no one hit them last night.

Bad weather coming tomorrow. 70-80 mph winds expected.

 

Thats not good for us that still don’t have doors or windows from TPC.
