This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up George Wallace was re-elected for his last term with over 80% of the black vote. He made a huge swing politically and spent a lot of time trying to explain away his own racist past. Quote
TxHoops Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 More relevant is his recent propensity to insert his foot in his mouth...or is he? This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Is it possible he is taking a page out of the President’s playbook? Is this the new formula for success in American politics? I certainly hope not. And it won’t play as well in gaining the nomination on the side of the aisle he’s seeking. Quote
baddog Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 Joe Biden is a dumbass, plain and simple. I bet his momma still has to dress him. Quote
CardinalBacker Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 Nah... Biden isn’t racist. Neither is Trump. That’s all the Democrats have to run on... accusing others of being hateful. Everybody that’s not a D (or a far enough left D- exhibit Pelosi) is a racist, homophobe, Nazi, etc..... Didn’t agree with Obama? You’re a racist. Believe non-citizens shouldn’t be allowed to vote in our elections? Xenophobe. Want to own an AR? Violent racist. Think voters should be able to verify their identity? White Supremacist. Believe the Bible in regards to homosexuality being a sin? Hateful homophobe. Disapprove of abortion? Misogynist. There are a large portion of the Democratic Party that believe that all white people are racist... the only question is whether or not the racist has come to accept their own racism and throw themselves upon the altar of hypocrisy. Nobody could figure out why the polling was so inaccurate in 2016. Some speculated that moderates just wouldn’t admit that they were going to vote for Trump. I have a feeling that the polling this election cycle will be even less reliable because other than those guys with the Trump 2020 flags and MAGA hats, people aren’t going to risk admitting to a pollster that they’ll be holding their noses and voting for Trump and end up facing that pack of hyenas on the left. WOSdrummer99 Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 I agree. Most of the trump voters would not admit that they were going to vote for him. Now I feel that many of them are ashamed of his actions but still wont go left. Unless it's another old white guy. Jmo Quote

WOSdrummer99 Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 Just now, Reagan said: Elaborate! For starters he hasn't drained the swamp or built the wall. And he has surrounded himself with advisors who have no idea how govt works. He plays games with Putin and North Korea. And hopes for the best but has no idea what is really going down. Btw, I'm independent, i don't affiliate with either party. So let the criticism begin.... Quote
Reagan Posted August 10, 2019 Author Report Posted August 10, 2019 If one notices, that the word racist doesn't have much effect anymore. In recent years when someone was losing an argument they would scream "well, your just a racist!" Now, if you'll notice, the buzz words are "White Nationalist and/or White Supremacist." This is a play out of the liberal playbook of if this isn't working, let's change the name. Example: In the 70's it was Global Cooling. That didn't work. So the libs changed it to Global Warming. Well, that didn't work. So the libs changed it to Climate Change. I can't wait to hear what the next name change will be! Hagar 1 Quote

baddog Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 Swamp draining takes a bit of time. It’s not like pulling a plug. Trump has stepped into an ant bed and the in-fighting is the reaction. He has started adding to the “ALREADY-IN-PLACE WALL. He has even diverted pentagon funds to help pay for it. Trump was not my first pick but he has more than impressed me. I don’t believe surrounding North Korea with nuclear subs, presidential class aircraft carriers and their escorts, and fly overs with B2 bombers is a game. One has to call bluffs or risk nuclear war. I think the priority of the potus is national security and protecting our borders is a huge part of that. If Ilhan Omar can infiltrate our immigration system and get elected in our federal government, isn’t it a distinct possibility that other terrorists have accomplished the same feat? Now, us Astro fans need to stick together. Lol Quote
CardinalBacker Posted August 10, 2019 Report Posted August 10, 2019 2 hours ago, Reagan said: Elaborate! For me? I thought on the night of the first debate in 2015 there were something like a dozen people on stage that would have made a better commander in chief than Trump. The sad thing is that none of those people were as electable as Trump. I don’t think that anybody else was capable of withstanding the barrage that the media was going to throw at the eventual nominee. I’m probably more aggravated by the Republicans lack of initiative to get anything done (other than tax cuts) in Trump’s first two years. We’d been hearing about repealing Obamacare from every r candidate for something like seven years and then nothing. On the economy you can’t help but give Trump a solid good grade.... even though he didn’t do much except NOT be anti- business like Obama was. It’s not that Trump is some economic wizard, but rather he’s not pulling back on the reigns like Obama. Trump’s appeal is not his abilities. He’s able to say what he thinks (and a lot of people agree with) in the face of opposition and not wilt. Nobody wants an Apologizer in Chief. And the dude is the biggest troll of all time. I appreciate that. Quote

That is obviously the "position" they take. Not sure they believe it but am very sure the believe it is the way to go as far as gaining power and control of our political system. Quote
Hagar Posted August 14, 2019 Report Posted August 14, 2019 I’ve seen quite a few folks, on other venues, complaining about Trump talking to Putin and Jong-un often. I’m no genius of foreign affairs, or the Art of the Deal, but since Russia and North Korea are problems, it seems to me it’s prudent to stay in contact. And in the case of Jong-un, to play to his vanity, and talk about how good he is (that would probably work on Trump too, lol). Trump tried that with Putin, but he’s not buying it. Still, to keep an open dialogue is important. Jmo. Quote
