I just had this conversation with somebody else this morning.  From what I have heard, it is very possible we will bump down.

GCCISD should have three 5A high schools next year. If Lee is below the 5A number, they will petition to keep them in 5A.

The next realignment will be tough to keep GCM in 5A. All the growth is in that area.

if newton drops 2a i dont care who is in 2a they will run through everyone with no problem

Vidor in 4a would be fun next year with the Senior class we will have. After that idk maybe a little regression but probably still very competitive.
