The playoffs have become a regular occurrence for the Bruins and they look to keep the trend going in 2007. Last year the Bruin’s season ended in the Regional Quarterfinals to Cypress Falls 44-27 as they ended the year 9-4.Key Wins Last Year:PA Memorial (56-41)Pasadena Memorial (57-34)Fort Bend Marshall (37-14)Last Year’s Scores:West Brook 35 Ozen 14West Brook 17 Central 14Spring Westfield 35 West Brook 0West Brook 62 Atascocita 7West Brook 30 Kingwood 14West Brook 40 Baytown Lee 28West Brook 48 Baytown Sterling 21West Brook 56 PA Memorial 41Humble 49 West Brook 32Channelview 43 West Brook 42West Brook 57 Pasadena Memorial 34West Brook 37 Fort Bend Marshall 14Cypress Falls 44 West Brook 27Offensive SummaryOffensive leader QB Joe Chaisson (Arkansas) is lost but the amazing RB duo of Christian Michael and Albert Williams return and will both be major contributors again in 2007. The duo combined for nearly 3,000 yards as Michael rushed for 1,400 yards and Williams rushed for 1,462 yards. The WR duo of Josh Powdrill and Jordan Garrett should add a powerful punch as well. In all, 6 key starters are back for an offense that pumped out a staggering 410 yards and 37 points per game and it doesn’t appear they will miss a beat in 2007.Other Offensive Impact Players:Christian Lewis (QB)Defensive SummaryDefensively the Bruins should be solid with 6 starters back. A strong point of the defense should be the line with Ryan Pollard, Leighton Zeno, and Roland Barmalon leading the way along with all-district 1st team DE Blake Chavis back. The secondary should also be strong lead by Mike Williams, Chris Gilford and David Falgout. Other Defensive Impact Players:Devin Williams (LB)Week 0 of the 2007 season will once again be headlined by the cross-town matchup between West Brook and Ozen at Lamar’s Cardinal Stadium. In week 1 the Bruins head back to Lamar to face their other cross-town rivals from Central. A huge final non-district game looms on September 14 as West Brook travels to 5A powerhouse Spring Westfield. Key district games include an October 12 home date with Baytown Lee and on October 26 get ready to light up the scoreboard as the Bruins travel to Port Arthur to take on the Memorial Titans. BearWolf Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 I wonder who will get the nod at QB? Falgout or Louis. Have they found a safety to possibly replace Falgout on defense?
Yeoj Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Louis will be the starting QB and look out this offense is going to put up some big numbers this year.
BearWolf Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 If Louis start that will take of their problem at safety

Guest WeedBegone Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 WB needs to get a good strong kicking game to contend for the title and get further into the play-offs. Specialty teams need to put the defense further back into their territory to allow the offense to build a lead. Go Bruins
