There are plenty of other schools Lumberton could have scheduled. It happens every year, move on. L-Train11 1 Quote

Kirbyville just happens to be really down. They would get killed by a school 15 miles up the road in Newton and they don't even have 300 kids. Just line up and play. I think Lumberton wins by 5 scores. Quote

I'm guessing 5A Cleveland wishes they hadn't scheduled 3A Buna after they got spanked last week as well. Guess they were trying to pad the W column? Quote
Longhorn Fan1 Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 You are talking about 1 small school that could compete with the bigger ones. If size doesn't matter why have classifications? Quote

If size doesn't matter why have classifications? Again, this is a NON-DISTRICT game. Classification matters in district games. You wouldn't be saying this if Kirbyville had the talent that Newton has. Newton is playing Silsbee. There is a big difference in enrollment there. You gonna say anything about that game? No, because Newton has a great chance to win against ANY team in SETX regardless of classification. Also Newton is not the only example. WO-S beat Nederland and the enrollments between those two is noticeable. Someone made a post about Buna above. East Chambers can run with some bigger schools. You're arguement only applies for district games. It doesn't apply in non-district. Filling games isn't easy either. You take what you can get in non-district scheduling. Quote
