Guest Kelly Football Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 No turf in this area so which field in the area has the worst field? Grass conditions? Grass to high etc.
BMTSoulja1 Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 LC-M by far from when the last time I was there. Everytime my Jags play there, its a mudpit! and the consessions are onthe home side!
NewIndian Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 You have not been there lately? they got a small concession stand on the visitors side, beware the sound system! and it still a mudpit.
wos08 Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 i think the WOS field has high grass..of course i never ran on another schools grass so i dont know how theres is compared to ours
stang4life Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 i think the WOS field has high grass..of course i never ran on another schools grass so i dont know how theres is compared to oursTrack maybe, but not the field. I am really beginning to wonder if you are even a Mustang. If I was as negative about everything as you seem to be, I just wouldn't be a part of it. ???
HJ-Hawks25 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 Well atleast the best i thought was Jasper. Very nicely setup i think field wise and surroundings wise. When i played on Kountze's field a while back, I didn't like it much. But i visited there lately and watched a game and it looked fine. LC-M didn't have a good field either, But also have been there lately.
cardinal81o7 Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 i would play on the wo-s grass any day of the week...when tarver was at bc the grass was about 5 inches deep everywhere...it was slowbut hj always had the worst field...there was alway sand everywhere
Guest Yard Bird Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 I think High Island has the worst field, but I could not clearly see the field for the mesquitos. Several years ago I watched W. Sabine play High Island, High Island was leading by a couple of points and W. Sabine had the ball for the last play of the game. W. Sabine full back broke through the line and was running uncontested for the end zone but was drug down on the five yard line by mesquitos. High Island won. The most terrible place by far to play a football game.Thats funny :D :D
davidortizfan Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 not too big a fan of orangefields field personaly..
t-time Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 HJ can't keep grass on their field to save thier lives. There are always HUGE bare spots all over the field. And when you get hit,the ground cuts you up worse than the person hitting you.
Guest Borat Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 I agree with t-time. The HJ sand pit is a beauty. Soccer does wonders for a game field.
Guest ECBucFan Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 I dunno. HJ's field LOOKED good from the stands last year. It looks like it has really good drainage with the louvered grates along the sidelines. Just an opinion from the stands...
cardinal81o7 Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 its like playing a pro-player stadium in miami
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 O-Field.we played them there in 2000 field was the messiest field i've seen since TJ played Central at memorial in 93.
H-D Boy Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 i think westbury christian has a horrable field, the lines on the field were dead grass caused by deisel spillage, and the track was concrete, ......not safe
shermdog Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 i think westbury christian has a horrable field, the lines on the field were dead grass caused by deisel spillage, and the track was concrete, ......not safeThat was a middle school in HISD. If I am correct, they share a varsity field.
stang4life Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 I know that this year, when the 'Stangs played them for their homecoming...it was HORRIBLE. We could barely breathe with all of that nasty, orange smoke barreling out of the jumper...maybe it was planned that way to get to some of our 'Stangs...JUST JOKING!!! It wasn't the field...it was the AIR!!! Nice touch if I may say so.
jhsbulldog Posted July 8, 2007 Report Posted July 8, 2007 I agree with t-time. The HJ sand pit is a beauty. Soccer does wonders for a game field.jasper plays soccer games on their football field. but we don't practice on it.
HJ-Hawks25 Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 HJ doesnt practice on their field either. But, i do have to admit, the mid section of the field does get messy
exbccards76smom Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 In my opinion, it is a toss up between 3 (from a fan point of view)Newton and Buna tie for first: nothing like trying to look around electrical poles to watch a ball game. They are followed by Anahauc. These stands are so small on the visitor's side, that the BC band and Strutters took most of them up.
jmspears3 Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 HJ can't keep grass on their field to save thier lives. There are always HUGE bare spots all over the field. And when you get hit,the ground cuts you up worse than the person hitting you.HJ field is the worst also the visitors side is to small.
skipper Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 LC-M takes the cake bad bad cut short lots of slipping
HJ-Hawks25 Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 HJ field is the worst also the visitors side is to small. This is very true. But, HJ hasn't had many big games to deal with at their stadium. Football has grown obviously around here. It is about time to maake the stands bigger huh! A new football field wouldn't be bad either!
