He reached the 3,000 hit milestone with his third single of the game in the seventh inning off of Colorado starter Aaron Cook.The five-hits were the most by any player in a game in which he recorded his 3000th hit, surpassing George Brett and Tony Gwynn who each had four hits. Over the course of the week, Biggio hit .444 (8-18) with two runs and one RBI.Other nominees included Houston teammates Lance Berkman (.286, 4 HR, 9 RBI) and Carlos Lee.
