Just guessing, but Vidor may be taking some off JV team to put on Varsity to be able to field a team. Just speculating. I don’t really know. I just hate seeing these families and kids having to start over again.

So if one game gets cancelled, they all do ?  That doesn’t make sense. What if one game was called for lightning, they don’t stop all the others.

It is long held UIL policy that if weather causes a team not to be able to answer the bell for district yet they intend to enter district play, that the district must come up with a solution that gives all members of the district an equal chance to compete.  They have heavily enforced that it in the past.

An example is after Rita when Baytown Sterling and some other schools tried to leave West Brook and Memorial behind when they were late starting district.

Crosby by 10, but this district is crazy even. Nothing surprises me in these games.

If the Pirates team is decimated by this flood, it won’t be much of a game.  Crosby subs may see a lot of action.   Durn shame after all the work the kids put into it.

Maybe it will be a motivator. Any idea what percentage of the team has been displaced? Did Coach Matthews flood again?

I have no idea.   I do know that several relatives & friends who live in Vidor, that flooded during Harvey, are flooded again.

How does that work? Is that a rule, or are you referring just to the mismatch it causes by two teams missing out on the round robin?

I wonder what’s the quickest route to their stadium is since I-10  is being worked on due to a barge hitting a bridge.

Well, you might want to check as you will not have to cross into that part of I-10 to get to the exit I would take, which is Spur 330/Crosby-Lynchburg Rd (exit 787). However, that exit is close enough that you could get caught in the backup.  But I would probably chance it.
