vidor96pirates
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the rubber pellets didn't wash away. Half of the field was under water. The rain was a little bit much for the drainage to keep up with.
oldman
Actually, All the rain and the water on the field does it good. It should help settle the rubber down on the field.
Teamlast
Hope the rumors aren’t true but I’m hearing vidor doesn’t have all of their players back. Not sure if all will be there for the game. JV guys gonna have to step up.

Vidor barely broke 300 yards rushing that game on like 70 carries. Crosby is the team averaged close to 10ypc and had over 400 yards. Crosby had turnovers and probably over 100 yards in penalties. Not that the actual facts of the game matter on here, but Crosby couldn’t stop the 3 and 4 yard carries and lost to a team that played better than them that night. Cougar14.2
I didn’t expect this one to be nail-biter before the storm and I think Crosby has even more of an advantage now. Was surprised to see Vidor lose to a Montgomery team that will have multiple 30+ point losses themselves this year. Looks like Vidor has switched to some variation of a 3-4 defense this year. I’m not sure that’s beneficial to the personnel they have on the defensive line? Vidor likes to walk up those two outside LB/SS types to help set the edge meaning there’s a lot of matchups in the secondary Crosby should be able to win. Will be interesting to see if the qb is eligible tonight? Either way, Coach Prieto should get his first win tonight just with the advantage he has in the trenches. RedJollyRoger
Write it out on paper...compare stats, and put way too much thought on who beat who, that lost by 6 to a team your team could easily beat by 40+. Its a testament to the team and town that these young men are able to play tonight. Regardless of the outcome...the 'Coogs better be ready to play 48 full minutes, whistle to whistle...because they'll definitely have it to do. Go Pirates! Fortheloveofthegame
I believe pretty much all of our varsity will be accounted for tonight.

RedJollyRoger
Tried to tell ya....I'm sure most teams believe they're bigger, faster, stronger, better coached with more talent than the Pirates....please see earlier post. Heart, grit and determination wins everytime. These kids and this town are resilient. Like I said to the guy who picked the Coogs by 35.....well, you've got it to do, just couldn't get it done.
