I do want to say adversity shows true character. We have been in the same position. Your true colors show when things don't go right. Last night was an indication of Newton's character. First class all the way. That shows good coaching and discipline. 15-1 is by no means out of the reality.

Better to lose now when it doesn't count. It sucks be have a 40 something game win streak snapped in the state championship game. One thing for sure, Newton won't have to play gilmer again.

Pretty sure I read 1999 somewhere but wasn’t sure what team did it.

From the histories that Goblin has above, it appears that 1999 was the last time.  Not bad, 20 years between shut outs.
