baseball_1989 Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 a nationally ranked NAIA school is like being the smartest kid in a special needs classThe way I look at it is this... Its a blessing to play ANYWHERE in college. Whether its JUCO through D1. The quote about a nationall ranked NAIA school was pretty weak. Come on now!
bevo Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 You can't coach speed. So maybe that will help you! The only time the Lastros made the World Series. They had a centerfielder that could fly and couldn't hit very good. So yes speed is very important. Defense wins championship, homeruns look pretty to the fans. I went to the Astros game last monday and the outfield was Carlos Lee, Jason Lane, and Lance Berkman. That had to be the slowest outfield in history, and it showed.
sb1 Posted August 12, 2007 Report Posted August 12, 2007 How much does speed matter in the outfield?? It is the differance of catching the ball or letting it hit the ground. ;D
