Foster was 8-9 passing, 77 yards, 1 TD

Cartwright was only targeted twice, catching 1 for a 16 yard TD.

Springhill had no answer for Silsbee's offense, we ran the ball at will on them and had success passing. Not real sure where "horrible play calling" is coming from. The defense front seven is playing pretty good, the secondary has things to work on. A lot of things. Going to be a lot film study for our secondary. District play next week.

Silsbee's offense definitely didn't lose this game.

I think I mentioned in the predictions thread about Spring Hill will score some points.  Just didnt know the secondary would get torched.

The Springhill coach said in a interview yesterday that he didn't think they would have any success running the ball on Silsbee so he was going to try and pass the ball.

The thing that bothered me the most about this game was the lack of discipline displayed by the Silsbee team. Time after time they helped Longview keep drives alive with stupid and unnecessary penalties.

Correct. I watched that interview. He was prepared to throw as much as 50 times if needed. Thought they could exploit Silsbee who hadn't seen a team pass that much this season.

His concern was stopping Silsbee's run game.

Nobody in Silsbee's district can or will throw it like Spring Hill did. That includes WO-S and Hamshire-Fannett.

Spring Hill by far the best passing team Silsbee has seen all year. Best combination of QB & WR.
