Guest Nederland Bandit Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Nederland has a strong group:1. Asa Cardenas 6' 160, 4.56, Junior2. Adam Broussard 5' 6'' 150, 1 yr under his belt on the varsity level, Senior3. Ryan Brady 5' 10'' 155, 4.5, Speedy kid, will help balance the passing attack, Sophomore Hope and they should do well.
SETEXFan Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Dayton will have their best receiver corps they have ever had along with one of the better Jr. QB's in the state. Put these along with 2 RB's that are both quicker than Mike Dugat was and you have the makings of a pretty good offense.Â
davidortizfan Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 lumbertons definetly isn't the best.. but travis wilkerson is very good.. should get all-district this year
Central000 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 lookin forward to seeing what wilkerson can do against us..
PURPLE 4EVER Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 Dayton's recievers will for sure be the tops.I am just glad I am not the defensive coordinator trying to figure out how to stop the offensive fire power that Dayton will have this year.
Guest wos country Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 I can tell you the Dayton boys that might be in the running this year.1. Paul Fontenot2. A.J. Dugat3. Ronnie Powell Good Trio There!
Mack3 Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 Nederland posters left out Jude Vidrine. 6'1" at last report with a great set of hands. He will be a factor! Jude is with the 16 year old Sr. Babe Ruth team at the regionals right now.Â
Wes57 Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Paul Fontenot (ex Liberty Panther) will have a very good season.
KFDM COOP Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 Any more who thinks they'll have the top reciever (s)?
akifan94 Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 I think Matt Johnson is in for a big year. He is tall, athletic, and fast. Probably not the best but I would not count him out.
AJ25 Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 wilkerson should have a very solid year this year..
Guest 87CRU79 Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 I don't know if Hall is playing WR for Central or not beacuse if he is, Hall is definately the best. IMO, Asa Cardenas (21) of Nederland is going to be a major threat to 22-4A secondaries this fall. Tall, decent speed, great hands, and moves with outstanding fluidity. He makes it look to easy.
pngballer Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 PNG's version of T.O.MATT Johnson is by far a top candidate..
BigWolf10 Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 The Jag recievers I see in practice are fast and have good hands. NOW, CAN that center get ball to the QB is the question. Recievers are catching the balls thrown their way. Old saying if you drop it in practice, you'll drop it in the game. Oh yea and they are blazers when they catch it.
bronco1 Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 Ronnie Powell - DaytonGreat hands, made some highlight reel catches at the scrimmage against Angleton last night.
