Guest coachacola Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Yup, that's McNeese. They're also getting new turf. If LU gets football the board of regents already approved $6.5 million for a new fieldhouse. McNeese's new fieldhouse will cost $9.5 million so LU better come up with more money to keep up with the other SLC schools.
davidortizfan Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 mcneese has something like that because the have a football team. lol
DenisGScott Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 thus the problems start they havent even said they are bringing the program back and already talking they need more money.
AJ25 Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 BUT, if we do get football back, we also will need to get new turf to keep up with the SLC
DenisGScott Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 why turf....there's grass at Cardinal Stadium
Bulldog92 Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 i know, but turf looks better..UT and A&M have grass and they do just fine. I don't really see the point of having field-turf unless there are drainage issues with the field already when you guys get a lot of rain there.
Guest coachacola Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 I think long term turf is cheaper to maintain than grass, especially if they plan HS games there. But I'm hoping they expand the stadium so it looks something like this:
KFDM COOP Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Yes that would be very nice!! The new field turf would be the way to go, no maintainence at all once it's installed.
DenisGScott Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 maybe they should start with trying to copy Southlake Carroll's stadium in Dallas, drove by it the other day while i've been in Dallas the last 3 weeks training for a new job here in beaumont.
