WOS92
It could very well be Garrett by the end of his senior year, but certainly you have to consider Kerry Franks, Jamal Warnell, Tim Feathers, Terrance Brown, and several others who escape my brain. lumberman367
Levi Moore is the best of the young guys on the list from Deweyville .Wasnt old enough to see Mark play heard he was a good one.But Levi played on sorry teams and everybody knew he was getting the ball and couldnt do anything about it.Logan was good to but had very impressive line and Zane was hurt way to much and Justin was good to but he wasnt Levi

Tiger24
Anthony Semien, 1988-90, was the best running back for Hamshire-Fannett. Spencer George, 1989-1991, was a close second. Felman Malveaux, 1988-90, was the best athlete. At Silsbee, Robert Arline played on the same team with William Graham and Doug Shankle. Three of the best players in Silsbee history. lubbockbulldog
It's hard to name one Nederland running back as the greatest. Especially when in about 10 years time(give or take a few years), the Bulldogs produced three 1st Team All-State Running backs in Sumrall, LaBove, and Mosley. Take your pick. Three of the best players in Silsbee history.I will disagree with Felman being the best athlete. Cedric Larnette was easily the best athlete to come from HF. Record at Hamshire in the Forty (4.35) ran a 4.29 at Blinn, still ran the 100 in high 10.1 plus he could jump out of the gym (ask keithan Hancock and Ashton Hall) he caught two alleys against Kountze not to mention he posterized everyother team he played against. Larnette was a straight up stud and coaches trembled every time he touched the ball. I bet if he wasn't afraid of a baseball he would be great at that as well! Tiger24
Felman Malveaux ran a 4.29 average for the forty (average of 4 attempts). He finished 2nd at the state meet in the 100 with a 10.31. He also set the University of Michigan indoor 200 meter record. Received a football scholarship to Michigan and also played pro football for Washington and Tampa Bay. He was the Texas Class 3A Offensive Player of the Year in 1990. Felman, Spencer George (Rice University and Tennessee Titans) and Anthony Semien are as good or better than Cedric Larnette. Bobby Constantine was also a great athlete. He was a decathalon athlete for Rice University and the state champion in the pole vault.
WTB
Hamshire put some guys in the Pros if I remeber correctly so lets not go over aboard about Learnette. now he was a good athlete but not the best
Roll_Left15
Athlete.....I didn't say football player. Bottom line is, he did it all...and he did it all,GREAT! He was All-American at Blinn at his true position of cornerback and if it weren't for him having Ced Jr., he would still be playing D1 ball right now probably at Oklahoma State! Yeah you heard right.....there's another Larnette coming to Southeast Texas...scarry, huh?
Dp#2fan
lumberman367 you need to get your stuff straight before you start posting on here about running backs from your school. Zane was hurt 3 games out of the four years he played. I just don't see how that is hurt way to much. So get your stuff straight the Chadwick!!!! WOS92
Kendell Cleveland was a great back who became part of one of the NCAA's best one-two punches with Kevin Faulk at LSU. He was headed for the NFL most likely, but a chronic leg injury hurt his playing time and draft status. I think he went into camp with the Bills, but ended up leaving or being cut. He was a great RB coach at WO-S for a few years and has since moved on. Here's a story from before his injury:http://www.kernel.uky.edu/1996/spring/0425/s41f.html
