HJ-Hawks25 Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Think a 40 yarder by a kid from HJ. Looks good to witness far field goals in real life other than on TV. I'm pretty sure there are further ones. Lets hear it.
ncplaya Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 I saw a 49 and 50 in back to back series. Jacob Hall. Heck of a kicker and didnt play college ball

AggiesAreWe Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 Craig Martin of Silsbee made a 52 yarder against PNG last year.
EAGLE07 Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 My sophmore year in school, our SR. pk kicked a 43-yarder with no time left to beat #1 state ranked Huntsville. Ball hit the cross bar and bounced over...felt like I was watching it all in slow motion.

HJ-Hawks25 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Can ya'll provide any more information of where those kickers went to college (if they even did) I would like to know.
Cardinal Supporter Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 PNG kicker kicked a 49 yard field goal in the state championship game against Stephenville a few years ago in the Astrodome. I think his name is Jay Price and I believe he went to Baylor. I have not heard anything else about him. I don't know if he went to the NFL or even tried to. He was a good kid. My wife taught him when he was in middle school in Port Neches.
James Mosley Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Curtis Parks for Nederland made a 55-yard field goal. Not only did he split the uprights, he cleared the cross bar by at least 10 yards in recording the longest field goal in school history. This was against Silsbee. Curtis went on to punt for Sam Houston.
West_hardin_17_13 Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 about 5 years ago mike lyndsey kicked a 52 yarder i think it was a one time thing though thats the best at west hardin
stalin Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Kadlubar kicked for UNT and practiced with Dallas for a short while. He could also punt it out of the stadium.
purpleeagle Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 67 yards----Russ Cowsert from Dallas Christian vs FW Nolan in 1987. No, I did not actually see it. Heck, I can't see that far. Read this in the Texas Football magazine in the High School Records section. Can you imagine.
Critter Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 Matt Bryant BC 50+ yards on many occasions...Went to Baylor and now Plays for Tampa Bay....
gdickert Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 The "longest" field goal in Southeast Texas history? The one Wally Whisenant kicked in 1982 to beat Kirbyville and end Kountze's then-nationally longest losing streak.Wally is now a successful businessman in Beaumont, a former Kountze school board member and STILL the guy who kicked the field goal to end the streak.I was a freshman in Kirbyville in 1982. Dark days.Seems that's when Kirbyville changed coaches and got Larry Grissom to serve as head coach the next several seasons. It might not have been the longest kick as far as measurable distance, but it sure does live in the history books in Kountze ... and sadly, in Kirbyville!
stalin Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 I was at the Kirbyville/Kountze game that night coaching the red and black. It was a great game, Larry was already the head coach, and the most exciting part was the kick off after the field goal, in which Ranzy Levias was shoe stringed by the last defender from Kountze. If not, Kirbyville would have won.

Central had a Brazilian kid (exchange student)name Sallia or something like that,in the late 90's. Kid could kicked the air out of a football. He once hit a 60 something yard field goal. I remember seeing him kicking one in the upper 50's. People in the stands were saying the coaches were crazy for attempting one from that far. He nailed it with about 15 yards to spare. Look him up.
Guest coachhooker Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 the guy who won it for south lake in 04
