whsalum Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 I challenge that field goal. Central had a Brazilian kid (exchange student)name Sallia or something like that,in the late 90's. Kid could kicked the air out of a football. He once hit a 60 something yard field goal. I remember seeing him kicking one in the upper 50's. People in the stands were saying the coaches were crazy for attempting one from that far. He nailed it with about 15 yards to spare. Look him up.Jag, He wasn't talking about distance. He was talking about a kick that ended a huge losing streak in Kountze.Kountze had gotten a national reputation as the worst football team in America. The fans even bought bumper stickers that said "We'll be there when victory comes".You had to cheer for em when they won that game, the kids that played for them had suffered a tremendous drought.
whiplash Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 I know it was not the longest one, but in the mid 80's Jeff Muckleroy kicked a 35 yarder with 2 seconds left so Jasper could beat LCM at LCM. He was a left footed straight on kicker also.
