my avg last year was 60 in district but i only had to punt 3 times we went 5-0...thats with a decent roll they didnt think i could punt

Cody Deitz for Nederland punted one over 80 yards against PNG a few years ago. He punted us out of trouble the entire game. I believe he got player of the game for his punting.

that guy from ohio state a few years ago who punted a ball from his 10 yard line and landed it on his opponents' 20, and had it roll down to the 3 yard line.  i wish i could remember the specifics. also, i went to college with a kid who routinely flew the ball 60 yards in the air, and was the only d3 player invited to the hula bowl in 2004.

It would have to be the '97 Jasper/WOS game. The Jasper punter all night was punting at the most 15 yards. We were losing the game 14 to 16 I believe. With about a minute left, we pinned Jasper within the 10 yard line. We just knew we were about to get the ball on about the 20 or so  and drive to win the game. Well, as Gary Stelly of KOGT said on the air, (WOW holy cow) and he punted the ball atleast 70 yards with rolls. This is the truth! The end of the game didnt fair so well for Jasper even though they made us drive around 50 yards. The end of the game was nice for me though ;D

Donnie Carona of Kelly had a 78 yd. punt against Bridge City this past season... I got to witness that with my own eyes...He will be a senior next year
