Carthage is the better team but the better team doesn't always win. Injuries, turnovers, flu bug, trap games, more turnovers, etc can all contribute to upsets.  The kids and coaches have to believe that it is possible. I have seen bigger upsets than Huffman beating Carthage.  The fact that nobody thinks it will happen, including Carthage, is why it sometimes happens.  If y'all meet up, I think most of our district will be rooting for you guys.  Good luck

Wont be a cake walk for either team. Carthage still has to strap up their jock straps like everyone else in the playoffs. This is still 4 weeks away but I would put a wager that both teams get to that round. LOL

It’s no disrespect to Huffman. Carthage HC Surratt  Is the best in the business the last time LCM went 10-0 he was coaching at LCM. It’s crazy we let him slip away. Good luck to y’all. I truly don’t know what type ofBears show up Friday night.

Me too. LCM would be in a better place maybe not has dominant as Carthage but not mediocre.

A round at a time man! Wish the best of luck to everyone in our district! Good luck from Huffman!

Like every team in the district, Huffman will tested hard in round two. They do have the best chance of all the teams in their district to go deeper, but that Carthage district is tough man. It's hard for me seeing them beat Palestine in round two, in all cases though. All roads go through Carthage in that part of the bracket.

Just my wildly, future forecasting, opinion:

Palestine or Life Waxahachie should be manageable.  Will be a good barometer for Huffman.

I think Henderson is going to Rd 3.  That will be a hard opponent.

If Huffman handles Henderson well....

Where was the Carthage game at last year?

Memory serves me correctly, i vaguely remember it being in Lufkin.  I had nightmares over the horn going off all night long each time they scored a touchdown like 7-8 times and probably could have been worse!
