This is such a lame argument. If you drive down the road with your kids in the car and you get stopped by the police, if you have warrants and are taken to jail, guess what, you get separated from your kids. No cop on earth is going to throw kids in a jail cell with their parents. Same as with the detention centers at the border. Crossing illegally is a CRIME and you will be detained and separated from your kids. That is the law, not something unique to Trump.

Did you read all of that Snopes post? Hardly an endorsement of Orange Hair’s policy. Can you point to examples of President Obama’s policies having no procedure, or making no attempt at reuniting the families? President Orangutan’s policy was, in effect, “screw ‘em”.

That may be true, but due process and procedures to reunite the family, or separate, depending on the underlying criminal charge exist for citizens. False equivalence, as usual, to try and draw a logical conclusion. That dog don’t hunt.

What would you do with children of those that are incarcerated for illegally crossing the border.

Keep them humanely with an effective system to reunite them when the legalities are settled.

Besides all that, grand jury investigation is part of due process. Trump hasn’t been denied it. Defendants aren’t allowed in a grand jury investigation. He’ll get the chance to present his evidence and cross examine his accusers when and if it goes to trial.  Howling about due process jus sounds like someone who’s innocence is suspect. When you don’t have that facts on your side, attack the process.
