Has Vidor ever produced a D1 player?

I heard Coach JB at Independence almost gave him another chance a couple of years ago but he couldn’t handle the small town Kansas lifestyle

They also had an OC that coached for the Arizona Wildcats and won 13 bowl games previous to coming to Vidor but he also left after a year.

Wikipedia is wrong again.  It says Thompson was 89-77-3 as a head coach.  Texas High School History says he was 95-90-3.  They are right.  I added up the wins.  Nothing spectacular.  Out of 18 years as a HC, Thompson only had "2" years that were notable.   And one of them "should" have resulted in a State Championship.  But...
