The Pirates finally got a break.  Been the little stepchild in 5AD2 for long enough.  Pirate football should be a lot more competitive.  And Pirate basketball.......well, I’ll save that for another thread.  😄

So 4A DII districts could be:

Carthage, Jasper, Shepherd, Silsbee, Center, Hj

BC, OF, WOS, HF, Navasota, Liberty

My prediction is close to that:

Center, Jasper, Shepherd, Liberty, Silsbee

and

WO-S, HJ, HF, Orangefield and BC

Or they find someway to pull Jasper and/or Center north again.  Carthage makes it tough on them to not make somebody have to do some serious travel.   I wouldn't be surprised to see  district with Carthage, Center,  Rusk, Bullard, and Brownsboro  (ty Mr. B.G.)

3A Div I could look like this if they just swap out those coming into the division with those leaving.

Coldspring-Oakhurst, Crockett, Diboll, Elkhart ,Palestine Westwood, Trinity, Huntington

(District 11 gains Huntington and loses Franklin)

and

Anahuac, Buna, Hardin, Kirbyville,  Winnie East Chambers, Woodville and Tarkington

(District 12 gains Tarkington and loses Orangefield and Warren)

Really excited and happy for our Vidor Pirates!  They've been competitive as a small school in 5A for a long time, so I'm very optimistic about the move to 4AD1.... Now, I can't wait to see how that district shapes up.  Going to be some travel involved I'm afraid... but it's a good trade off!

They're close to that mythical border between 2 and 3, so you never know, but a lot of the predictions had them in 2.

Haven't they been up there before?

Actually, in football, they have been in Region 3.  In volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball as well.
