Yeah you had 90% of the  basketball team playing basketball to start the season the last 3 years at least. Only guys who came in late from from football were Martin, Barnes, Tyler Newton, and Willie Jones.

The Tigers had 2D1 players and their top bench players graduate and kept the same type schedule , these results early were or should have been expected. Bush is a special player no doubt about it.

Wow.  That's not good when this kid needs to put up insane numbers and still lose.   But I know those two football kids will give Bray some help.  Goodness gracious, he needs it in the worse day..

What Silsbee needs more than anything right now is help on the boards. That's the only reason WB won tonight.

Not sure how much Martin and Cartwright will help in that regard. There's a few more freshman football players with decent size, but I don't know if they play basketball or not.

and the final dunk count was 2  - 0 WB, unless something happened in the last minute of the game. They did try to get cute and do one off a backboard assist and missed horribly.

They're pretty athletic and scrappy as well. Remember,  they lost to Memorial by 2...

Definitely and that won’t change from football.  I haven’t seen Jones play hopefully he will be a good help but still have no backup there.

There was a Silsbee fan above that clearly said that that's the only reason, and a few others kinda fed off of that.  Also, I mentioned that WB hung tough with a Memorial team that clearly has the size advantage vs almost anyone in SETX, but no replies to that statement.  

Bottom line is besides Bray, this current team just isn't that good and West Brook is athletic and scrappy as heck.  They  (Silsbee) will be a lot better once K'Drain and Chris gets back though...
