So much learned last year.  I saw in an interview where Silsbee's star offensive player's Taylor, Martin, and Arline was asked about playing a huge role in offense.  I love that they say they learned a lot from last year's secondary (they were 2 and 3 year starters).  Great to see they are giving props to the tigers before them and have gradually  gotten better, especially at the right time  and are up for the task of stopping this Wimberly high powered passing attack...

Yes it was Homecoming. We were down like 41-28 late 3rd but game was called due to lighting.

Not to make any excuses but Homecoming week and WOS the next week could have pulled our attention away from this game..I think we could have came back in the 4th with a few stops.

Getting a couple of scores down is our strategy to lure an opponent to sleep.  Then we strike late leaving him no time to recover.

And it's worked beautifully for two weeks in a row. 

We play a more subtle game with West Orange.  It's almost frighteningly elegant.  We let them roll over us during district play so that they can convince themselves that they are much better than we are.  And then, when it matters, in the postseason, we set the hook.  They never see it coming.

I guess you can go to the well once too often.  Maybe we better not try again so soon.  They'll probably be looking for it.

I can think of another trick.  How about this.  Let's get a lead early and keep it for the whole game.  They'll never be expecting that!

The young man must think he's died and gone to heaven!  To be in America and playing high school football and still in it in December.  This has got to be the high point of his young life.

Kind of sad it has to end for him on Friday.
