Divisions in Basketball

Not to sound ignorant, but why not?

Mainly because AD's and Supt. don't want it. But another reason is that a lot of the divisional districts require more travel and because basketball and baseball play games during the week (Tuesday), no one wants to be traveling any extra on school nights.

Also, UIL wants regional and state tournaments at same venue and you cannot have two divisions in each classification playing at same venue. You would have to start on a Monday which no one wants.
