Coach Jeff Lilley has told setxsports.com that he has resigned from Hull Daisetta as head basketball coach to accept a job closer to home with the 5A Woodlands School District. He will be coaching at McCullough Jr. High and will also be coaching Jr. High Football. Coach Lilley has been the HC the last 2 years asst Football coach and coached baseball in 04-05..GOOD LUCK COACH!!

The deal with the 2 coaches late last night was that they had a chance to get closer to home.

I can appreciate that.  It will sure make it rough on WH and HD. Coaching is a hard life and you have to do what's best for the family.  I wish them both the best of luck.

DickVitale, if you really are a head coach you need to "Class-up" a little bit.  Two good small schools in our area have lost their coaches and like you observed, that's not good at this point on the calendar.  But, you sir, with your "Price is right" attitude probably would not be the coach that either school needs.  Problems within both districts have been discussed here and about.  Could you put you ego on hold long enough to try to lead either program out of their problems?  Well, you tell me.

It's all about money and advancing or getting in a program that will make you look good. If you say it isn't well ?????????

what happened to the coach b4 this one? 

Coach Merendino got out of coaching and just teaches at HD.  Coach Lilley was his assistant coach three years ago and took the job for the last two years.  I look for Joe Allen Slack to take over a very good basketball team next year that will be loaded with juniors.
