Thoughts On Parents Attending Practice? Then Talking To Coach about Son Starting

Recommended Posts

I talk to the coach, as i have coached with him before, and ask him what my son needs to work on and thats what we work on at home, but he got a starting job on "D" on his own merit. In this weekends loss to WOS in the semi-finals of the STJFL the exciting thing to hear was his name as he made a play or a tackle, and after the game i told him to hold his head high as he and the team had nothing to feel bad about

If the Coaches son gets his starting positition fairly I see no problem with this.  I do however have a problem with parents saying my son should be playing because he is a senior.  If you dont have it you just dont have it.  GO RAIDERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In high school the coaches don't (or shouldn't) care who your parents are or if daddy coached you all your life and you never sat the bench. They will (or should) play the players that deserve to play. High school sports is a whole different world.
