JohnnyT60 Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 He'll be a first ballot HOF'er. He won't get 99% of the vote, but he'll be a first ballot entry. He really compares pretty well with a lot of guys on the list. As far as time for a change, your probably right, but not with anybody on this roster. Looking at the avg's, he would still be on my starting lineup. Apparently Biggio himself is starting to realize this. But the Astro's owe Biggio, he and Bagwell could have left for big money in the prime of their careers but they were loyal to the franchise. It is now the franchises turn to return that loyalty. Biggio is a class guy and deserves to be treated right by the Astros. I have been at the Dome with my kids when they were younger, and as he was leaving the complex, he would often stop and sign autographs for quite awhile. Good to see a good guy get his due, especially when espn expects to stop and worship a punk like barry bonds. This guy exemplifies what is right about baseball.
venom33 Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 You dont think given a full time spot the entire year Loretta could do the job at second? Also, Im a big Bonds fanĀ
JohnnyT60 Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 I would have loretta in the lineup as well, sometimes he would play second. Others he would be at 3B, or SS. Sorry to hear about you and Barry.
WHBaseball14 Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 Hate to see him go but at least he'll be done as an astro and leaving on his own accord.
