BENTONVILLE — Mid-County (Texas ) tallied nine hits and 10 runs during a two inning surge to run away with Thursday’s second elimination game at the 16-year-old Babe Ruth World Series.

Mid-County beat North Arkansas state champion Fort Smith Forsgren 11-4 at Bentonville’s Phillips Park and will now take on the host team Bentonville.

They will meet in tonight’s second semifinal game
