I know Gabe or Dave Rogers wouldn't have went to press without a final, but it looks like Jared Souza of The Morning News did. Mid County was down 7-1 in the second and I guess he wrote the story before Mid County came all the way back to beat Bentonville.

SPECIAL TO THE MORNING NEWS

BENTONVILLE -- Mobile, Ala., moved into championship game of the 16-Year-Old Babe Ruth World Series by defeating Hammond, Ind., 7-4 on Friday at Phillips Park.

Mobile will now face tournament host Bentonville today at 1 p.m. for the championship.

The top-rated team from Alabama scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back. Right fielder Joe Hernandez started the rally with a triple and Tyler Hayes followed with an RBI single. Tyler Richberg added a single and back-to-back walks to Patrick McGavin and Matt Gaddis scoring Richberg. Brooks Bobinger then delivered a sacrifice fly, scoring McGavin to give Mobile a 3-0 lead.
