lonestar Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 West Brook and Texas A&M grad Jason Tyner hit his first homerun today after 1,220 Major League at bats! It has been mentioned on ESPN and ESPNews several times today.Interesting note from his wikipedia pagePrior to 2004, Tyner had a severe home run drought that dated back to Little League. Throughout 2,631 high school, college, minor and major league at-bats, Tyner went without a home run until he hit one in a minor league game in Richmond in 2004.

Roll_Left15 Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 He also got hit in the back against CC and the Indians last night...I guess that's what happens when you become a home run threat...lol
AJ25 Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 yep, he's dangerous now.. i think it's safe to say that he still won't hit many more.. lol
