OneChance Posted January 22, 2020 Report Posted January 22, 2020 Heard there was some unfortunate extra curricular activity during this game. Quote
OneChance Posted January 22, 2020 Report Posted January 22, 2020 According to PA News, District is meeting today at 10:30am about incident to decide what to do with game and what kind of discipline action needs to be taken. 9 seconds remained in the game, PAM was down by 2 points and PAM was going to the Free Throw line to shoot 2 when game was called. My understanding is that PAM coach suspended all his girls except one on varsity last night against Nederland. I haven’t heard anything about discipline at Dayton, witness accounts are not good concerning HC of Dayton. Quote

dayton Posted January 23, 2020 Report Posted January 23, 2020 Multiple Dayton players have been disciplined as well. Two games for some. BMTSoulja1 1 Quote

Coach.Shu Posted January 23, 2020 Report Posted January 23, 2020 glad they will play it out... wish the refs had done their job and given out techs and ejections and finished it right then. Coach D.J. Wilson and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote
BH85 Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 How are they going to handle the disqualification rule for those that were fighting? I assume if they are going to play out the game, those that were identified as fighting would not be available. I agree the refs should not of called the game. Come together, sort out the techs, and finish the game. Quote
OneChance Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 I’m guessing that it probably got to where it was beyond control of the refs and the refs didn’t think they could control/prevent another fight from happening. Strictly guessing. Should be an interesting 22 sec game! I’ll go watch and be cheering for PAM! Quote
$$Buckets$$ Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 IMO the thing to do would be to come together and sort out all ejections and techs, then if the situation or environment is still hostile clear the gym and finish the game with just players and coaches. OneChance 1 Quote
Coach.Shu Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 "The District 21-5A executive committee agreed Wednesday that the referees inappropriately called Friday’s game between Memorial and Dayton high schools too early following an altercation that disrupted play." OneChance 1 Quote
