Guest Kelly Football Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 What would be your favorite and most enjoyable victory that you have seen your team win in the playoffs?
patitan Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 PAM against aldine when j.c. took over the game and rallied for the win.
Guest ECBucFan Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 EC beating Garrison (1st OT playoff game in UIL history), or EC taking out Alto.
WOS92 Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Mine would be a series of wins in one run - beating LaMarque, Friendswood and Calallen en route to the finals in 2000 despite being one of the smallest schools in 4A. Calallen was by far the greatest game I've ever seen at any level.

AggiesAreWe Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 I loved that game that Silsbee beat Marlin in 1977, but I'll have to take the '98 first round win over undefeated and #2 ranked WOS, 21-20. WOS actually beat Silsbee earlier in the season 17-0 in a quagmire.
WOS92 Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 The really wild thing was that Silsbee had negative yards in that first game. I hate to say it, but after holding them under 0 yards in that first game, WO-S thought the first round would be a joke and were looking all the way ahead to a rematch with LaMarque.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 best one i ever saw was lufkin coming back in the dreaded rainstorm of the century versus Trinity winning 23-20 with only a few seconds leftgame winning pass by Reggie McNeal to Jeremie berry. 2001

Sad thing is that we probably had the team to beat LaMarque that year. We will never know. That had to be one of the most talented WOS teams in a while.
BMTSoulja1 Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 Central/pflugerville conaly in 2003. That was a nailbiter. We scored that TD with time winding down, the Jag fans almost stormed the field.

BMTSoulja1 Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Yea, it was Jordy Matherson. We didnt' throw the whole game, but he let the scoring drive with 3 big pass plays for the go ahead score. It was sweet because they was stoping our run and the game was boring. and half our fans left. They came running back in before the winning TD pass.
PNG Proud Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 I have 2. The 1st in 1975 when PNG defeated South Houston. Because SH was the ONLY team to beat PNG that year (by 1 pt. Pre season), it was redeeming to beat them so handily in the play-offs.2nd would have to be the win against LaMarque in 99'. They have such an awesome program and history that beating them is quite an accomplishment...especially in the play-offs.

In the '90s, we knew if our team was good, and we were going to the playoffs that we would eventually have to face the beasts from LaMarque. I hated those guys! You have to give them respect though.
Bigdog Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Ned's victory vs Friendswood in '01. They were undefeated and #2 in state, and it got the quarterfinal monkey off our back.

That was the state semi year right?
Bigdog Posted August 2, 2007 Report Posted August 2, 2007 Correct. Ned was having a real good season with the exception of that game.

Guest ballfan Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 mine would have to be in 2004 with waco conally vs. Jasper. Best game ive ever seen. double overtime. I dont remember exactly what happened. But jasper came back in the fourth quater and forced overtime. and won it in the second overtime.
Guest Orangeboy Posted August 20, 2007 Report Posted August 20, 2007 I would say Huffman's would be there win over WOS in the dome the first year the WOS dropped to 3A. Those people were going crazy.
HFLONGHORN Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 HF vs SFA 1993 Bi-DistrictI believe SFA was ranked in the top 10 and had said all week that HF couldn't play with them. It was a very hard fought, back and forth game. HF pulled off a very well executed drive with a minute and change on the clock for the game winning TD. HF 35 - SFA 31
