Reagan Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 Any one know the racial breakdown of the total employee number of the USPS? I've heard something that will be discussed later when/if we find the numbers. Quote
stevenash Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 If there are more than 14% of the Postal Service employees who are African-American, is that discrimination? Quote
5GallonBucket Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 I ll tell u this. I worked for them for 5 years in the early 2000s and as a white heterosexual male i was THE minority. Hagar 1 Quote

Reagan Posted January 28, 2020 Author Report Posted January 28, 2020 The Postal Service has incurred cumulative net losses of $63.6 billion from 2007 through June 30, 2017! One must oneself: Why does Congress continue to allow these massive billion losses per quarter and per year? I think quotes about Hispanics in the previous post may be a telling indication! Quote
Reagan Posted January 30, 2020 Author Report Posted January 30, 2020 No one is in the least bit curious why the United States Postal Service is allowed to lose Billions and Billions and Billions of dollars a year and nothing is really ever done to solve this?! Quote

LumRaiderFan Posted January 31, 2020 Report Posted January 31, 2020 Sad thing is the fed gov actually has permission to lose money with the post office. Article I, Section 8, Clause 7 of the United States Constitution, known as the Postal Clause or the Postal Power, empowers Congress "To establish Post Offices and Post Roads". Quote

The government knows nothing about operating a business. It cares nothing about accountability and, without a profit motive/responsibility( yes, two of those "uncaring" characteristics of evil capitalism), it is highly inefficient. LumRaiderFan 1 Quote

But I'm not sure it states how big it has to be. Can it be one office with one employee and still satisfy the Constitution? I'll explain shortly what I've heard about the USPS. Quote
Reagan Posted February 5, 2020 Author Report Posted February 5, 2020 Hummmm! One has to wonder... As a side note: This says the USPS has 7 unions. The question is -- why do they need any? This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Quote
