Cancel what game?  I am not aware of a game being canceled except for last year. The JV game was cancelled due to kids being displaced because of Tropical Storm Imelda. We were fortunate enough to get enough Varisty kids together to come to Crosby an give y’all that butt whooping y’all received. I don’t know the exact rushing numbers the 4 times Vidor has played Crosby but I do know they ran the ball down y’all’s throat. Funny thing about it is y’all knew we were gonna run the ball and y’all still couldn’t do nothing about it. 😂

There was a game cancelled/not scheduled when Flannigan was here. Without going back to check would bet Crosby has equal or more rushing yards than Vidor in those matchups. You just put a lot more emphasis on those yards because it’s your Super Bowl.

I don't recall Flanigan's non-district schedules, but since Riordan, Crosby has definitely not shied away from competition in their non-district schedule.

Same under Flannigan. Pearland Dawson, Atascocita, Ennis and Waco University are some I remember. He just didn’t put forth the the same effort in winning them.

Newton

Scrimmage 1 - at Anahuac

Scrimmage 2 - Buna

Week 1           Woodville

Week 2           Diboll

Week 3          Kirbyville

Week 4          WO-S

Week 5         Open

Thats one of the lightest predistrict scheduals Newton has played in recent years. Only one formidible opponent out of 4 games and 2 scrimmages. The rest are essentially pushovers...

Is Newton having to rebuild or something this year?

Newton suffers from a problem of people wanting to play them, so the take what they can get.

Bucs need to step up and play. I’m sure they would love to play EC

Yalls Super Bowl. Keep hope alive man, hope 4A is kind to the pirates, it might be tougher.

Ironic isn’t it.  I’m sure most Pirate fans are glad they didn’t drop to 4AD2.   Around here, at least, D1 is a much better deal.  Imagine the D2’s around Carthage aren’t happy.  😂🤣😂🤣😂

Flannigan typically did the 1 really good team and 2 cupcake schedule, or 2 okay/good teams and an absolute cupcake in the third game.

    • SMH Silsbee will not tank against WO-S. Just won't happen. Mustangs were just that much better than Silsbee. Besides, #3 seed basically has to play the same teams as #2 seed other than first round. From what I saw with Sweeny and Brookshire, BR was the better team than Sweeny.
    • For sure.  They can take it to anyone if they want it, and if they play with the intensity that they had last Thursday.  Last Thursday game reminded me of the last 2 season's teams.
    • The numbers on those charts reflect all age groups and not just HS age Students. Another thing to remember,  some parents of school age kids might work in neighboring districts and choose to have their child in the district they are employed.  Not always the case but it is something to remember
    • We have a new apartments complex being built in Mont Belvieu. You’re going to need to update that chart.😂
