2020 Lamar Baseball Starting Off Well

Lamar Baseball jumps out of the gates.   They just finished their second consecutive win against Rhode Island.   Winning Fri  7-3, and today 8-2.  Third game tomorrow.  

Glad to see them off to a good start.  Solid hitting, and good pitching.  Great combination.

Game 2 found them tied up at 2 in the second.  After 3 1/3 innings, the Cards starter, Zach Bravo was replaced by Dylan Johnson on the mound.  He pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings, getting the Win, as the Cards scored 1 in the Btm of the 4th and sent 5 across the plate in the bottom of the 6th.

In Game 3, currently Cards up 1-0 after 4.

Dropped Game 3, 4-2.   Needed all the Mo they could get.   Tackle the Horns Wednesday.

Lamar taking on the Longhorns this afternoon at 4.  I’d love to see a Cardinal Win, but Texas is one of the Big Dogs.  Cards will need all the voodoo they can muster.

Longhorns managed to squeak out a 6-1 win over the Cards.   Well, maybe a little more than squeak, lol.

I watched a lil bit on LHN. Saw JD3 out the bullpen in a jam in the 2nd. 1st and 2nd no outs. BB, K, K, 3R 2B, K. Had some good pitches get away from him in the rain. I look forward to some home games when it warms up.

 Texas State put 8 up on the Cards in the first two innings.  Dropped their second game to them 8-7.   Not sure what’s up with that?   LU has more pitchers that some small HS’s have football players.   Everyone has an off day.  Don’t let the game get away before calling on the bullpen.  😳😳😳
