Who That Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 It's looking very bright for Silsbee Basketball. Them youngsters been winning championships since little dribblers 😁 Quote
ST413 Posted February 22, 2020 Author Report Posted February 22, 2020 Up 32-16 at the half over Jones. Will have to watch for final, have to leave for party. Quote
no-look Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 When did they start having middle school championships? Quote
BADSANTA Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 About 2 or 3 years ago I think. Quote

I think RCSSports runs the event and you have to win your district to be invited. Mainly a Houston event. no-look 1 Quote
Tigers94 Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 Silsbee - 44 Jones - 32 Final. Kinda of a tight game at the end, I guess. Quote
Tigers94 Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 Think Silsbee is done for today. Next game looks to be at 12:00pm tomorrow against M.C. Williams. Quote

Yes it is. If they make the finals I believe it is at 5 tomorrow. There is a good looking team from Lake Olympia on the other side of the bracket. They have some good looking players and some height. Should be a good one if they both make it. Quote
whsalum Posted February 23, 2020 Report Posted February 23, 2020 These kids are gonna have to develop quick. Graduation is going to be brutal on the Tigers this year. Quote

I can see 4-5 maybe even 6 of these guys on varsity next year. Silsbee varsity next year could possibly have 5 soph. and 5 freshmen. Gilder will be the lone starter returning next season. Teams better get their licks in next year. Quote

But one thing this group has in some of its top players that Devon and Jordyn didnt have as incoming freshmen is the build that they both developed, these guys like the freshman Williams is the body of say a jr or senior. Will be a learning curve and i am sure will take some lumps next year but the future is bright. Tigers94 1 Quote

Lots of talent in the west end of the County over the next 2 years. Quote
ST413 Posted February 23, 2020 Author Report Posted February 23, 2020 Tigers win their last game 58-36 and go through group play undefeated. Next game at 2:30. BADSANTA 1 Quote
Tigers94 Posted February 23, 2020 Report Posted February 23, 2020 Was it 26 or 36 for the other team? App I'm looking at says 26. Looking at some pics from these games, one of these schools look like they have 11th and 12th graders on their squad😲 Not saying they actually do. It's just looks like it. Definitely gonna be a challenge to win the whole thing. Quote
ST413 Posted February 23, 2020 Author Report Posted February 23, 2020 Yes I believe it was 26 wasn’t there. Had to give my 6 yr old a little pool time this morning. And yes that Odom team looks big. One team yesterday was. Quote

Going to be tuff starting now. Quote

Tigers94 Posted February 23, 2020 Report Posted February 23, 2020 From what I can tell, it's looking like Lake Olympia might be our biggest threat in this tourney. Think they play West Lake next. Quote
