Went to the Newton practice this morning... Looked very good and had alot of size and speed this season... Talked to the coaches they said this is one of the biggest teams they have had in a while. Very young team this season lots of Juniors and sophmores on the team gonna be a good year for them this year I think.

Post 1st and 2nd week Practice comments here. Some schools started Monday. The Beaumont Schools, Vidor and Memorial.

We finally got to practice today. It was hot! Went well and attitudes are better.

nah its very fair. Coaches put these rules in so kids dont just join the football team to be known as football players. Considering the other kids are working their tales off every offseason and summer and paying the price to get a chance to win on friday. The guys who wanted to play should have saw the light before it was to late

What about the kids who actually have to get out and get jobs in the summer.  Not all Seniors are sitting home watching TV.  Just because they werent' at the school every day doesn't mean they werent working out.  I know many kids who worked full time jobs during the summer and also hit the gym every evening and they deserve to be on those teams.
