Local districts are allowing practicing right? So could a "scrimmage", not a game, still take place?

Well, it actually got cancelled the evening before. They never got on the road. Still a huge disappointment.

I hear ya but allow me to play devil's advocate a little more. Do you find it odd that government, state health authorities and TEA leave it up to the local districts to decide whether or not it is safe to put kids and teachers all in the same building and classrooms but a decision like playing a pickup game in the outdoors is a punishable offense. That decision can't be made by local districts.

Oh, I get the hypocrisy that you are talking about and I agree that is what it is.  In fact, I would not be surprised that if you see a spike in increased positives that that the Governor follows the lead of our neighbors to the East.

In Lumberton, beginning Immediately, no more extra-curricular activities. Can’t eat lunch with your child or even bring him lunch to the school. But what is this really accomplishing. Does ANYBODY even remotely agree with this? Please explain, so I can understand.

It's not happening at The Dale, that place is locked up. Can't get on a field without jumping a fence.

School athletic events have also been closed in my area. I was excited to watch the basketball games but I guess Ill have to wait until theyll resume the events. Its best to just stay safe and avoid social gatherings right now.

I hate to see this and i sure hope they are being over cautious but i have heard directly from some officials, that we really havent been hit yet.  Our heavy time is still expected to be about 2 weeks away.  Folks this is scary.  I hope and pray for everyone and their loved ones safety.

BC had their best chance in many years.

orangefield had a good chance to make it to state before heading back up to 4a.
