hfaninthestands Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Just thought we could call roll for the biggest warm-up game of the century  ..... HFaninthestands will be there
NeDeRlAnD b-DoG fAn Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 NeDeRlAnD b-DoG fAn will be there
retired76 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 I will be attending that game most defintly.
ESPN Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 The word i got Thursday was Coach Bryant is wanting the game at BC????
retired76 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Bridge City scared to play LCM at a neutral site?
DINKER Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 BC is on a budget. They have to conserve their gas. Why go all the way to Beaumont when you can play at WOS.
retired76 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Well Lamar has a better field than WOS and it holds more people. How do you know they are on a budget anyway? It doesn`t matter LCM will win the game where ever they end up playing at.
ESPN Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 :bss On a Budget! It wouldn't cost BC much to drive to WOS or Lamar.
bigred75 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Yeah that is a bunch of crap, but if it were true, BC is chinsy when it comes to funds.................or lack there of.....................I will be there if its played on the right night.............
BC28in80 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 To Retired76, Anybody that has seen Angelle pitch, knows that with him on the mound, BC has the potential to beat anyone, anywhere. I have reservations about their bats when it comes to the playoffs because of the inconsistant pitching in this district. I only hope they live up to their team batting average for the playoffs. Anyway, it takes a great pitcher to get to Austin - but it takes the lumber to bring home the gold. Good luck to both LCM and BC for their playoff run. The game will be good for both.
uniden Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 The reason it might not be played at Lamar is because both teams would have to cough up $1500 for the one game. BC's baseball budget was cut down at the beginning of this year, I have no idea why considering that last years team surpassed expectations.
cardinal81o7 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 no joke. i dont know why or understand how a team returning from a state trip gets a budget cut. i also dislike how the #1 team in 3a has the worst practice equipment. ie batting cages, hitting stations, and other equipment. i hope we're able to scratch up enough money to go to lamar, which holds more people than either wos or bc put together. just for the record, i will be there.
jdawg03 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 sounds like a booster club problem to me.... its not any different in most other places....
uniden Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Well other schools that have a good baseball program, usually their administrators and their AD are big supporters. Thats not the case in BC
FanOfTheGame Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Lamar is the only place it this area, that can hold the amount of people planning on attending this game, but it's not up to us, I'm sure Griff and his Bears would play Bridge City in a vacant lot with tote sacks for bases, he just wants to play against the best teams in the area to help prepare for Brenham. Good Luck To Both Teams In The Playoffs
adminbaberuth Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Nederland plays Thursday, Hamshire-Fannett Friday @Nederland. Maybe the LCM/BC game could be played Saturday@Nederland.
bigred75 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I agree with BC not supporting its teams to some extent. Hey if it aint football it aint nothing....................................thats BC's philosophy..........and other schools as well.
bearbacker09 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I heard WB was already hosting a playoff series next week.
MIF04 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 That's news to me....not that they run the schedule thru me. Who?
