skipper Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 if you had one game that stands out most in your mind over the years that you lost and know you should have won what game was it?
Bobcatfan4life Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 2003 Area Round Orangefield vs La GrangeGame was tied at 14 and we drove all the way down to about the 10 yard line. So we have a 1st down with about 2:00 left. Common sense says run the ball and if you dont get in then kick the field goal. Well, we try a pass that gets picked off and La Grange's first play after that they get a long run all the way down around the 15 and end up kicking the game winner. We lost 17-14. Would have been our first time to make it to the 3rd round in school history >
Roll_Left15 Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 2002 Bridge City @ Hamshire Fannett21-7 BC led at the half on two busted plays in which Jamie Knight scrambled and ran for two 60+ yard touchdowns. Hamshire came out in the second half and completely dominated, only to lose 35-32. Key play was early in the fourth, BC fumbles and Longhorn LB, Kenny Trahan picks up the ball and returns it all the way to the five yard line. Hamshire couldn't get the ball in because of a fumbled snap and had to settle for the field goal. Lose by three, a touchdown there means the Longhorns win by one. Both quarterbacks (Knight & Hidalgo) played supurb football as well as both running backs (Peebles & Larnette)for each team. Great game none the less!
