Great news & congrats to DV! I know they are excited to move to their new stadium.

I look forward to our matchup later this year in your new digs and will not miss the old "skeeter" bowl.

The one problem I see with  the new stadium is the seating capacity.  Not only is the home side small, the visitors side is very small, I highly recommend getting there early to the game or bringing chairs to sit along the fence line. The field itself and the facilities are top notch and it will be a source of pride for the Pirates.

This will be my fourth season of SE Texas HS football and something that has surprised me is lack of adequate seating capacity at most of the area schools I've visited. You'd think as football crazy as most people are around these parts, the schools would have better stadiums. I moved from another part of the state and we had schools that played 6 man football that had stadiums with better seating than most of the AA and some AAA schools around here.

I agree, with as many fans that travel with EC when they play on the road the seating is not going to be very accommodating.  Some smaller classification stadiums in the area are in a similar situation, with new facilities being built this area (seating) should have been addressed.

With as many fans as EC brings on the road with them when they travel and some other schools that Deweyville plays at home this year, I wish they could have provided more stands, I agree that this is not only a Deweyville problem, but a problem at other smaller classification school stadium's in the area also.

Everyone in our district except for Deweyville has at one time been a 3A. Those stadiums were built for a 3A school. Deweyville will not become a 3A no time soon maybe 20 years from now.
