KFDM COOP Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 Former Lamar University baseball player Collin DeLome, who was selected by the Houston Astros in the fifth round of the 2007 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, was selected to play in the New York Penn League All-Star Game, which was played on Tuesday.DeLome, who is playing for the Tri-County ValleyCats, is hitting .291 with 19 runs scored, 48 hits, 12 doubles, four triples, three home runs and 16 RBIs in 44 games played. He also has five stolen bases. A three-year letterwinner and Lamar's career triples leader, DeLome entered the all-star game as a pinch-hitter and went 1-for-2.
