There is no doubt these kids have a good work ethic. One of the coaches told me at the beginning of two-a-days that they had the best summer work out participation ever.

Like you, I was very impressed with what I saw yesterday. With a young team like this, you really don't know what to expect and they looked really good. One thing you must remember though is that BH is young too, even younger than we are, so you really don't know exactly how good they are. But, you can only play (or scrimmage) who is on your schedule and it was definitely a dominant performance.

The things that impressed me the most are: 1.) How in shape we were; 2.) Our defense and their speed; 3.) Our new QB's throwing, he was probably 8-14 passing, I knew he could run, but he really threw it well too.

If anything, we lose as many kids to transfer as we gain - like Artis Ruben, who will be at LC this year. It's a matter of figuring out who has both the talent and the dedication and purging those who don't (especially those who don't have the dedication).

I actually think we lose more than we gain

There are 15,000 people or so in the Orange area.  4 schools within a 5 mile radius???  Lose more than they gain..  whatever. 8)

WO-S has the tradition.  Who wouldn't want to play for them if they could?

I give them a hard time whenever I can. ::)  Still got mad props for them no matter what.
