HORNSFAN86 Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 I have been long time supporter of the HF Longhorns and was wondering how we look this year with a new coach and all. If anyone out there is fan that hassome info they would like to share I sure would like to hear it.
Roll_Left15 Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 They should compete with teams and will probably beat Orangefield, Bridge City and H-J......but I'm worried about their defense and if it will suffer with Broussard now at PN-G. Daigle looks good and so does Cameron Burrell, but I don't see this year's Horns making too much noise!
HORNSFAN86 Posted August 21, 2007 Author Report Posted August 21, 2007 Great Head Coach! I sure hope so. I hear he is quite the disciplinarian. I think we havebeen lacking in that department in the past, no offense to the previous HeadCoach. I guess everyone has their own methods to get kids to buy into what they are trying to accomplish. I hope he likes to throw the ball some. I believethat has hurt us in the past.

Did you happen tocatch the scrimmage @ Lumberton ? I read where some Lumberton fans claim HF lookedpretty decent.
Roll_Left15 Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 I've seen Hamshire practice and Lumberton...but I didn't get to see the scrimmage. No offense to Lumberton fans, but the Raiders aren't exactly the cream of the crop in 4A football, so it doesn't suprise me that the Horns looked good against them.
